Chenango Valley (CV) 1958-1959 (13-5,  14-6)

Art again strengthened the schedule adding Vestal, beating them twice and UE winning at UE 51-47. CV finally had some success against the three Binghamton teams splitting with Seton, Central and North losing to each on the road. Ed Rog continued his dominance in his senior year and 3rd year on the varsity. CV swept two from Norwich and Vestal. The 1st Sect 4 playoff found CV trying to revenge an earlier Feb loss at Sidney 82-81. They met at Harpursville and CV outlasted Sidney 69-57. The 2nd Sect game was against Owego at Central. The two split games during the year each winning at home. Owego ended the CV season winning 69-55. CV ended with an 11-0 record at home. Art: “They can’t score when we have the ball!”
