Art completed his career at Central unbeaten in the new gym and finishing second to JC in the STC. Losses were on the road at JC 73-60, EFA 62-60(at the buzzer) and Nott Terrace 77-52. Kevin McKane, Tony Abbadessa, Chris Demtrak, Don Campos, Dick Kenny, Dave Davenport, Bill Fusco, and Tom Donovan all hit double figures this year. Going into the playoffs Central was 15-3. UE fell for the 3rd time 71-50, Waverly fell 73-65, Central then clobbered both Bainbridge 82-49 and JC 69-46. Cortland was next to fall 77-66. The bulldogs then faced a tough Homer and lost the Sect 4 Class AA finals at Cornell 69-64
