Two of the highest scoring players in Central history in Ted Parke and Jon Cincebox graduated this year. They both again made the All-STC players for the 2nd year in a row. A new gym was added to the school and the Bulldogs went unbeaten at home. Cincebox controlled the boards all year, but pulled down 40 in a Dec 3rd win over ESS, 73-53. Nott Terrace thumped the Blue & White 64-46 ending a 23 game win streak. In Feb Central got even beating Nott Terrace 79-66. With Parke sidelined North fell 65-50 as Lee Day shut off top scorer Don Hurley. Jan 29 was the last game for Parke, Day and Jim Munsie closing with a big win over Norwich 90-55. Dick Alapeck, Kevin McKane and Chris Demtrak joined Cince, Stan Drazen, Tony Abbadessa, Don Campos and John Lucas to finish the season with wins going into the Sect 4 playoffs. They easily beat UE, EFA, JC, Homer and unbeaten Marathon to reach the finals against a tough Walton team(18-2) at Cornell. Central fell 59-51, still it was another great year.
