Except for double losses to JC and EFA and a loss to undefeated St. Lucy, played in the Syracuse Armory, this was a great season. All of these losses were revenged with great play in the Sect 4 tourney in March. The season ended with Ron Capalaces second in scoring in the STC with 19.5 average. Richard Day, Sid Shad and Ralph Hasenbalg are lost to January graduation. Jon Cincebox, Ted Parke, Ken Pichette and Capalaces alternate being high scorers. In the Sect 4 tourney North falls 71-64(29 for 67 shooting, Parke scores 20). The Bulldogs upset JC 70-65 Cincebox 17, Pichette and Capalaces 16 each. Skip Reynolds played his best game of the season in the finals against EFA scoring 8 and winning 58-53, with key 3rd quarter baskets. Mike Ganisin hits 10, Capalaces 15 and Pichette 13. What a finish to a great year, a Sect 4 Class AA title. Binghamton Central 1952-1953 (12-4, 13-5, 16-5)
